“Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.” (1 Corinthians 15:42–44, NLT)
“Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matthew 13:43, NKJV)
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4, NKJV)
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
Those who embrace the principles of KingdomNomics experience strength and power in this life and the life to come.
Spiritually, we know the flesh is weak, having no strength of its own to overcome the power of sin. However, when we are born of the Spirit of God, we are infused with a new power, the resurrection power of Jesus Christ, the very power God used to raise Jesus from the dead. This resurrection power at work is why God can do more than we could ever imagine or think (see Ephesians 3:20).
Yes, we are still weak in the flesh, but Christ, who is in us, strengthens us to the point that we can live a life of spiritual power. His revelation to us helps us see through the schemes and deceptions of Satan as he seeks to weaken us in our endeavors for the Lord. We are raised in power from weakness.
Ultimately, our bodies will rise in power, like the power and brightness of the sun to shine in the kingdom of our Father in heaven. When we think of the sun, we think of power, life, and light, all attributes of God. Jesus Christ is the light of the world, showing us the way, the truth, and the life.
Talk to God
Father, help me to focus on the Son. Help me to experience Son Power working in and through my life to overcome the obstacles of this world that inhibit me from fulfilling the purposes and plans that you have for me. Help me to remember that ultimately I will be raised in strength, shining as the sun in the kingdom of heaven. Empower me to live a life that expands your kingdom. Amen.
