It is the last hour, and just as you heard that the antichrist is coming, so now many antichristshave appeared. We know from this that it is the last hour. (1 John 2:18)
The last hour, from God’s perspective, is here! What does this say to you and me as Converterlators? It tells me we must be busy doing the King’s business! We need to stay focused on our mission, doing the works God has prepared for us.
According to this “last hour” passage, our loaf of time is getting short. We need to counter the false messages of the antichrists who cause many not to find the way, the truth, and the life revealed to us by Jesus Christ.
It is critical we listen and obey what Peter said: “Wepossess the prophetic word as an altogether reliable thing. You do well if you pay attentionto this as you wouldto a light shining in a murky place, until the day dawns and the morning starrises in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19).
Life and immortality are just around the corner. Soon the mortal will be swallowed up by the immortal. In the meantime, we need to give the people of our generation the opportunity to respond to the wonderful love of God by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ! “This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his one and only Son into the world so that we could have life through him. This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God’s love for us. He sent his Son to die in our place to take away our sins” (1 John 4:9–10, NCV).
Today, ask yourself:
In what ways does my life reflect that I believe that the time is short to do whatever I am going to do for the Lord?
