6. Living a New Life!

Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life. (Romans 6:4).

When people look at you as a believer, can they tell you are a person who has been with Jesus?

In addition to the verse above, Paul also wrote to the Galatians, “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. Sothe life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). The Spirit of Christ overpowers the old self so we can live a new life.

In fact, our lives become hidden in Christ: “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3, NIV, emphasis added). Our goal is to have more and more of our life hidden in Christ. After all, to become like Christ is now one of our primary objectives in life.

In the book of Acts, it was apparent that something had happened in the lives of the believers. At one point it is stated, “When they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and discovered that they were uneducatedand ordinarymen, they were amazed and recognized these men had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13). Now that is living a new life!

Today, ask yourself: What signs are in my life that I am a person who is living a new life
