Fear Not! God is With You

Fear Not! God is With You | KingdomNomics.comScripture: Isaiah 41:10, NLT

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10, NLT)

Fear paralyzes us, particularly when we focus on the problem or worry we face. Fear drains the life out of us. When we allow fear to control us (instead of God controlling us), fear becomes a god.

At least 450 verses in Scripture address the subject of fear. It is a topic God wants us to handle properly. We are not to be afraid because God promises to be with us.

As we face formidable circumstances, he tells us not to be discouraged because he is our God, and not the circumstance. Furthermore, he promises that he will strengthen and help us; he will hold us up with his victorious hand.

As we face obstacles, we should always remember God. The “God Factor” is the solution to our problems.

But fear distracts us from seeing this truth:

Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.’ So we can say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?’” (Hebrews 13:5–6, NLT)

We are to focus on the Lord Jesus Christ – not the world, not people, not ourselves, not our circumstances. He is the one who grants peace, contentment, safety, and help.

Talk to God

Help me, God, to overcome the tendency to fear when I face obstacles. Thank you for teaching me that I am not self-sufficient… my sufficiency is in you. My confidence is in you, the source of all life and blessing. In Jesus name, Amen.
