Scripture: Genesis 24:27, NKJV
“….As for me, being in the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.” (Genesis 24:27, NKJV)
For our life to echo into eternity properly, we have to make sure we are on the path the Lord has established for us to follow.
Most of us have experienced being lost or heading in the wrong direction because we have taken a wrong turn. Life is full of “detours” that lead us astray and hinder us from being the effective servants God wants us to be.
The Lord has specific plans for each of us while we are on this side of eternity. In this passage, the servant of Abraham was sent on a mission to obtain a wife for Isaac, the son of Abraham. The servant acknowledged that the Lord had led him since he was in the way God planned for him.
A practitioner of KingdomNomics is not only focused on the mission God gives, but also is sensitive to the importance of doing things God’s way. This is another reason why it is critical for us to follow the principles of soaking our heart in the Word of God, sowing to the Spirit, and flowing with the Spirit as we navigate our way through this world.
By following this path, we have a much clearer focus of how and what God wants us to do as he reveals his will to us. The Psalmist said God’s Word was a lamp to his path. This truth is applicable today.
Today, ask yourself:
Am I confident of being in the way God has planned for me? Am I looking to his Word to guide me?
