Scripture: Romans 5:20, NLT
“God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.” (Romans 5:20, NLT)
The GOD FACTOR is SON POWER at work in our life.
- SON POWER is the power of God overcoming obstacles.
- SON POWER is God’s grace at work in the believer, overcoming the power of the flesh and the lure of the world system that operates in contradiction to God’s ordained principles.
For believers, it is time to arise, for our light has come. We are light in the Lord. We are to put on the armor of light. We are to walk as children of light. In fact, we are instructed to position ourselves so Christ can shine on us, “for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, ‘Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.’” (Ephesians 5:14, NLT)
When Christ shines favorably on us, things happen! “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.” (1 John 5:12, NLT)
For these principles to work, we must accept the Son as our personal Lord and Savior (follow the steps in “Begin Your Relationship With God”).
Think of what putting the GOD FACTOR in remembrance does:
“For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.” (Malachi 3:6, NKJV)
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8, NKJV)
God does not change. “And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.” (Romans 5:9, NLT)
“…And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood…” (Revelation 1:5, NKJV)
Believers are assured that God is at work as we learn not to rely on ourselves, but to rely on God. Think of the GOD FACTOR – SON POWER at work in your life:
“In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.” (2 Corinthians 1:9–10, NLT)
He has rescued us. Our confidence is in him, and we know he will continue to rescue us. This is an attitude that only SON POWER – the GOD FACTOR – can give us.
Talk to God
Yes, Lord, I choose to have SON POWER work in my life by learning not to depend on myself, but to depend on you. Thank you for revealing this kingdom secret to me. In Jesus name, Amen.
