Memorize and Meditate
“And he said, ‘…. As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.’” (Genesis 24:27, NKJV)
Soak your Heart
If we expect to receive God’s guidance, direction, and blessing, it is critical that we are “on the way” – the Lord’s way. If we expect him to answer our requests, we must make sure we are abiding in him and his Word is abiding us. We must bring our lives into harmony with his revealed will for us.
Only then are we empowered to fulfill the mission he has given us. What better time to check that we are “on the way” God has chosen for us than when we are meditating on the Word he wants to incorporate into our life?
Sow to the Spirit
As we talk with God, it is important for us to make sure we are conforming with the directions he seeks to give us.
Pray, “Lord, I want to make sure what I am doing is in accordance with your revealed will for me at this time.”
Abraham’s servant fulfilled his mission by “being on the way.” If we are to be successful Converterlators (discussed in our book, The KingdomNomics Converterlator), we must be “on the way.” Therefore, I like to sow to the Spirit a flowing thought that as I am “on the way,” the Lord leads me.
Flow with the Spirit
As I depart for work, I have the confidence that I am on the way God has chosen for me until he tells me something different. He can and will change the direction I am going if he desires to do so. Flowing with the Spirit is always having an expectation that is truly working in my circumstances.
Practice
As you reflect on this Scripture passage, develop a mindset that you are “on the way.” God knows your life from beginning to end. He knows about everything in between the beginning and the end. Therefore, we should be developing a sense of confidence in his provision as we navigate our way through this world.
