Are you Kingdom Employed?

Obedience places us in a position to be blessed by God | KingdomNomicsScripture: Joshua 13:1, ESV

Now Joshua was old and advanced in years, and the Lord said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to possess.” (Joshua 13:1, ESV)

The words still apply today: “…and there remains yet very much land to possess.”

Many people have not had the opportunity to respond to Jesus Christ. It is the responsibility of each generation to use the means at our disposal to reach others for Christ. We have a lot of work to do.

We also have work to do related to our inner person. We need to be rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, strengthened and filled with the Holy Spirit as we navigate through life.

This is one of the reasons Paul must have said, “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” (Philippians 3:12, NIV) To know Christ and to be an effective witness for him is a most worthy objective.

One of the benefits of pressing on to grow in our faith is explained in this passage:

But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:9–10, NKJV)

God prepares things for the person who loves God. He can reveal them through his Spirit and his Word as we SOAK, SOW, AND FLOW with them. By obeying his commandments we show we love him. Obedience places us in a position to be blessed by God.

All power belongs to God; he can open doors of opportunity if they are needed. He is the God who sees, and he is the God who provides. These facts alone make us want to bring all aspects of our lives into conformance with his will.

Today, ask yourself:

Have I spotted the inner and outer territories in my life that God wants me to possess in his name?
